Jackson comes home
For Jackson Colbert, today was the perfect day. He’s a handsome, successful, confident young man in his prime, and endowed with a beautiful girlfriend who loves him more than anything. And he is happy about all these things. But his life is not without its difficulties either. The job is hard, looking good causes a lot of stress in life and a lot is expected from him and his self-confidence demands him to always be the best. That’s why Jackson is glad to have a girlfriend in Cassie who understands him and his difficulties in life and respects that sometimes he needs a break from his perfect life.
Until now, he had always thought Finn would despise him for it. Jackson is a man, just like Finn, and as men, they understand each other. Jackson knows that Finn won’t cross the line he made up with him and that he will respect Cassie. Everyone can see that the poor boy is in love with his girlfriend, but Jackson also knows that Cassie is aware of the boundaries the two have agreed upon without having to talk about it. It’s an open secret but an open secret that everyone knows and appreciates.
That’s exactly why Jackson was so pleased that Finn made him a kind of peace offering after work. The not-so-secret admirer of Cassie had behaved improperly when he came along to Jackson’s girlfriend’s work, but Jackson just couldn’t blame him. Finn is a poor guy without friends, influence or prospects in life who would rather live in an apartment he has to share with a happy couple than stand on his own two feet. That’s why Jackson was so surprised when Finn allowed him to spend an evening with his six new model girlfriends. Maybe he just wanted to show his best buddy that he wouldn’t do anything weird with Jackson’s and Cassie’s money. Either way, Finn is a nice but penniless guy who shares his lavish resources of women with his buddy.
And the evening was just fantastic. It took a while to get to know the six girls but they had been surprisingly accommodating. Serena has been arguably the leader of the group but Jackson has mostly targeted Angela and Odele… That is, if he didn’t have a girlfriend. He’s not a douchebag, that’s for sure. Of course nothing else had happened but Nora was wearing such a skimpy costume and Miko and Serena were in each other’s arms the whole evening and giggled together while Odele massaged Jackson’s shoulders. Okay, Paula was a little distant but the light alcoholic drinks she had provided for everyone also had a relaxing effect on everyone. And so it was not surprising that Jackson had let his defenses down more and more. Unfortunately… or fortunately for him – Jackson hasn’t figured that out yet – the girls were obliging enough not to take advantage of his weakness. After all, they belong to Finn, Angela told him clearly, and Jackson still feels the twinge in his gut at her words.
At least he had been able to arrange more meetings with the girls, though he hadn’t realized until later that he wanted that more than he wanted to admit. But he had been brave and kept his pants on. He was ahead of Cassie in that regard and that was also a reason why Jackson had accepted Serena’s offer to meet more often. After all, he hadn’t done all the work for the girls and Paula was the only one Jackson knew he had no chance with. Yes, he would remain faithful to Cassie. But in his mind a man is free, and with the sight of Odele in front of him and the feel of Angela’s hands on his shoulders, it’s hard to imagine the girls being able to say no to him for long. Not that he plans to. But Finn told him to take good care of his girls.
There are conflicting thoughts running through Jackson’s head as he unlocks the door to his… the apartment of Finn, this evening. He’s a little angry that he’s already run out of pocket money, but the girls have told him that they don’t mind, that they just want to get to Finn quickly. The girls. They’ve been so accommodating, friendly, cute and so damn sexy all day. He would have loved to stay with them longer but after all, Jackson has a girlfriend. Of the girls, Serena has the biggest apartment and while Jackson helps them find their own place to stay, cheaper and close to Finn (And Jackson, but he’d rather not say that), they all sleep at her apartment.
But not tonight. Tonight they all want to come to Jackson. He suspects it’s Finn, but still Odele and Angela cling to his sides, laughing, while he, slightly tipsy from alcohol, unlocks the door and lets the guests in. Paula, of course, is the first to push past the group, closely followed by Nora but Serena and Miko stay behind Jackson, while Odele and Angela help him out of his clothes. Jackson feels like a freaking king. Yeah, this day has been fucking awesome. And it’s about to get even better.
As Finn disappears under a pile of squealing girls, wriggling arms and kicking legs, Jackson sees his girlfriend next to the pile. Her face is all red and she’s curled up under her snuggle blanket and… Are they watching a horror movie? But that’s not the only thing that puzzles Jackson that night. Then he pauses. Is Cassie naked under the blanket? He feels again. Indeed. That changes a lot, but Jackson is glad about that. At the sight of Jessica it seems to be only logical that Finn has told his girlfriend again to undress, there is nothing wrong with that. But the look Cassie gives him… She’s not worried or sad… but not happy or grateful that he’s here either. Jackson doesn’t understand and actually he doesn’t want to end his evening with a serious conversation. Not that Cassie doesn’t deserve it but he is only human, only a man and… Paula is naked… and Miko is just pulling her own top off her body.
Jackson bites his tongue with effort not to stare too obviously and sits down between Cassie and Jessica, but she soon gets up and makes room for Nora. While Cassie holds his hand, Jackson can only nod as Finn assures him past Paula on his lap the movie will be over soon and then the apartment will be his again. Not really, of course. Jackson knows who owns the apartment but it’s good to know that Finn respects him enough to let him be a man… And Angela and Miko join him between his feet as a matter of course. There’s not much room in the living room with all the girls but that doesn’t bother anyone… except Cassie.
“It’s just that I don’t like scary movies” Cassie laughs after Jackson and Finn address her about her serious face, waving her hands distractedly while her kneecaps touch under the blanket. Of course it’s not just that but what can she say? That it makes her uncomfortable to imagine Finn happy with Jessica? Or should she reprimand Jackson for looking at the six models crowding the room, all in various stages of being naked? “Cassie?” Finn holds onto Paula’s hurried arms and looks questioningly at his best friend. But Cassie can’t answer. She’s at a loss for words. So much she wants to ask Finn for help but it’s too late for that now. He has other people to take care of. And so it is Cassie who looks apologetically at her roommate.
